🏀 1st half

15:44 – Wazzu came out aggressive while the Wildcats settled for deep jump shots leading to an early 6-0 hole for Arizona; Azuolas Tubelis and Jordan Brown get buckets inside to help the Wildcats cut down the lead as the Cougars have started to settle for shots
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 6 Arizona - 4
11:01 – Bennedict Mathurin comes off the bench and hits a couple shots for the Wildcats including the first 3-pointer of the game, but both teams are not shooting the ball well overall; Wazzu has been able to get to the free-throw line allowing it to hold onto its lead
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 13 Arizona - 9
7:17 – The Wildcats continue to have struggles from the field as they go over 5 minutes without a make from the field; the drought comes to an end with on a big dunk for Mathurin who now leads the team with 7 points; Ira Lee has come in and done a good job providing some energy to the floor, but he has picked up a couple fouls and heads to the bench
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 18 Arizona - 13
4:17 – Mathurin is the only one who can hit a shot for the Wildcats as he now has 9 points for UA, but both teams are having major issues putting the ball in the basket and it isn't necessarily because of great defense on either side; so far both teams just cannot make shots and it's led to an ugly game up to this point
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 22 Arizona - 16
0:00 – James Akinjo hits a 3-pointer out of the timeout to create at least some kind of offense for the Wildcats, but we'll have to see if that's enough to spark the team on the offensive end; some chaos to end the half as there were bad foul calls, chippiness between both teams and more bad offense but the Wildcats find a way to take a lead into the locker room.
HALFTIME SCORE: Arizona - 29 WSU - 27

🏀2nd half
15:33 – Akinjo came out of the half with a jumper to help the Wildcats extend their lead; The Cougars go on a 12-2 run to take a lead as the Wildcats continue to lack sharpness on either end; Ira Lee gets a bucket out of a timeout and helps Arizona break the Washington State run
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 39 Arizona - 35
11:14 – Miller takes a timeout and it sparks a run for the Wildcats after UA had a poor stretch on both ends; the Cougars have gone cold while UA has started to receive some more contributions from its other players such as Baker and Tubelis leading to a 6-0 run for the Wildcats
SCORE UPDATE: Arizona - 43 WSU - 41
7:54 – Isaac Bonton has started to heat up for the Cougars after a slow start as he has hit two 3-pointers and a mid-range jumper to help pull Washington State close to UA; UA has been forced to go small with three bigs in foul trouble and Terrell Brown Jr. hits a runner in the lane to help keep the Wildcats out in front
SCORE UPDATE: Arizona - 51 WSU - 50
3:49 – Bonton has continued his hot streak over the last couple minutes and he now has 18 points to lead all scorers with the offense opening up a bit for both teams; Mathurin hits a runner in the lane and it allows the Wildcats to keep it close but they will need some stops to win this one
SCORE UPDATE: WSU - 63 Arizona - 59
0:00 – The teams continue trading baskets and eventually Bonton hits a difficult shot answering a difficult shot on the other end from Mathurin; Bonton finds Abogidi for a tough shot after he gets away with a few extra steps to tie it up; Akinjo doesn't get the final shot off on time as he struggles to get any positive play on the final possession and the game will head to overtime
SCORE UPDATE: Arizona - 70 WSU - 70

🏀OT #1
