BASEBALL: Arizona already preparing for NCAA Tournament trip
Arizona will open its first NCAA Tournament under Chip Hale this Friday against Ole Miss in the Coral Gables Regional.
Arizona opens the NCAA Tournament against Ole Miss this Friday at 4 p.m. MST. It will be a rematch of the Tucson Super Regional that was won by the Wildcats last year en route to a berth in the College World Series. Lefty Garrett Irvin will get the ball for UA, and it will be an opportunity for him to get some redemption after having his worst career start in that super regional. Irvin lasted just 1 1/3 inning in what ended as a loss for UA. He is certainly eager to get a chance to face the Rebels again, and he spoke about that today with reporters.
UA head coach Chip Hale spoke with reporters yesterday and catcher Daniel Susac spoke with reporters today along with Irvin. You can hear all of their media sessions in the videos below.
We will continue to post any updates from Coral Gables here as the Wildcats open up the NCAA Tournament later this week.
