Hugely productive Texas State running back Ismail Mahdi has committed to Arizona this morning as the Wildcats pick up one of their most important commitments of the transfer season. The Murphy, Texas native has shined throughout his career at both Houston Christian and now Texas State. His best season came in 2023 when he rushed for 1,331 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he still nearly had 1,000 yards on the ground this year (991) to go with 4 rushing scores. In his career, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound running back has compiled 2,781 yards and 15 rushing scores to go with 74 catches, 720 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns through the air.
