GAME THREAD: Arizona vs No. 7 Utah

Arizona is set to close out the home portion of its schedule tonight as it takes on the seventh-ranked Utah Utes at Arizona Stadium. UA is currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak and is coming off a loss to No. 6 Oregon last weekend in Eugene.

As always you are welcome to follow along for updates throughout the game and join the conversation as the Wildcats look to send out their seniors with a victory over a top-10 team.

Coin toss: Utah wins, will defer
1st half

- Drive No. 1 (ball on the UA 25)
Grant Gunnell gets the start and he hits JJ Taylor for a 5-yard gain to get the drive going; After a 9-yard rush for Taylor on the second play, Gunnell has three incompletions and the Wildcats have to punt it away

- Drive No. 2 (ball on the UU 25)
Zack Moss goes for 32 yards on the ground on the first play of the drive for the Utes; Arizona gets a stop on a sack from Colin Schooler, but a personal foul is called on Tony Fields II after the play keeping the drive alive; there were three penalties on the drive overall. Tyler Huntley hits Brant Kuithe for 29 yards to move Utah down the field; Kuithe runs it for 3 yards on a jet sweep to get in the end zone [SCORE UPDATE: Utah 7 Arizona 0 - 7:39]

- Drive No. 3 (ball on the UA 25)
Gunnell back out at QB for the Wildcats and the first play is a 4-yard rush by Taylor; after an incompletion to Taylor, the UA running back picks up just a yard and the Wildcats have to punt one more time

- Drive No. 4 (ball on the UU 28)
Jaylen Dixon runs for 8 yards on the first play of the drive for the Utes; a steady dose of Moss on this drive for the Utes, but the big play comes on a pass from Huntley to Kuithe for 22 yards on another big play down the middle; Huntley hits Samson Nacua to get the Utes in the red zone; Huntley eventually finds Demari Simpkins for a 3-yards score for Utah [SCORE UPDATE: Utah 14 Arizona 0 - 0:37]

- Drive No. 5 (ball on the UA 25)
Taylor runs it for 4 yards on the first play of the drive; Utah gets called for a delay of game penalty and the Wildcats will have 2nd and 1 after the timeout [END OF THE 1ST QTR]

2nd QTR

- Drive No. 5 continued ... Taylor picks up a couple yards and he gets the first down to keep the drive alive; Gunnell finds Boobie Curry for a 20-yard play and another first down; after a short Taylor run, Gunnell is sacked for a loss of 5; Gunnell has his pass knocked down looking for Cedric Peterson and UA will have to punt once again

- Drive No. 6 (ball on the UU 12)
Utah leans on Zack Moss a ton on the drive as he ends up with six carries when all is said and done and that includes a 21-yard carry; eventually the Utes decide to go for it on 4th down and Tony Fields II comes up with a big tackle for loss on Huntley that end the drive and gives the ball back to UA

- Drive No. 7 (ball on the UA 24)
Khalil Tate enters the game at QB for Arizona; Gary Brightwell runs for 5 yards to open the drive; Tate hits Brian Casteel for 3 yards; Tate looks for Jalen Johnson but he can't bring in the pass despite being WIDE open and the Wildcats' drive is stalled once more forcing a punt

- Drive No. 8 (ball on the UU 34)
Utah does a good job of picking up 7 & 8 yards on each play to get down the field; One of the highlight plays is a pass from Huntley to Moss that goes for 15 yards; some poor clock management by the Utes leads to an attempt from the 1-yard line with one second left in the first half; Trevon Mason and Tony Fields II team up for the big tackle to stop Moss and leave it as a two-score game
