Arizona is back in action and it's a big game in Las Vegas as the Wildcats take on the Runnin' Rebels coming off their first loss of the year. There is of course the big man battle to watch with freshmen Deandre Ayton and Brandon McCoy. The Wildcats are going with their same starting five tonight: PJC, Trier, Randolph, Ayton and Ristic

1st half

- Arizona wins the tip but Ayton's mid-range jumper doesn't fall; McCoy misses his first bucket but UNLV gets a turnover and bucket the other way to get on the board first; Clyburn with a 3-pointer to give UNLV the 5-0 lead; Ayton gets a dunk to get UA on the board; Juiston with the layup to extend the UNLV lead; Ayton with a 3-pointer to cut into the UNVA lead; Juiston with another bucket on a tough shot in the paint; Clyburn with a layup to go into the first timeout [SCORE UPDATE: UNLV 11 Arizona 5 - 15:51 1st]

- Ira Lee and Alex Barcello are the first two players off the bench; Trier takes it hard to the hoop and gets the foul and makes the free throw to cut the lead down to 3 points; PJC to the hoop to break the drought for both teams; McCoy with a quick answer as Arizona continues to miss shots now shooting 24 percent; Wildcats 1 of its last 8 and UNLV just had four straight turnovers as this one is a bit ugly; Jordan Johnson with a couple free throws to push the UNLV lead back up to 5; PJC with another strong take to the basket for a bucket [SCORE UPDATE: UNLV 15 Arizona 12 - 11:23 1st]

- Mooring with a bucket out of the timeout to push the lead back up to 5 for UNLV; Ayton with an easy turnaround bucket for the 'Cats; Easy baseline drive for Beck as Arizona's defense is struggling a bit again now; Ayton keeping Arizona in this one with a turnaround jumper for the Wildcats; Mooring right through the defense and UNLV extends the lead; Pinder in for Ristic and UNLV goes right at him and gets a bucket from Amauri Hardy to push the lead to 23-16; Trier with a big baseline dunk to cut the lead back down to 5 points ... nice play for the junior guard; Pinder with the put-back after a missed Ayton 3-pointer and the Wildcats are closing in [SCORE UPDATE: UNLV 23 Arizona 20 - 7:28 1st]

- Ayton and Juiston trade buckets out of the timeout; McCoy gets the put-back for UNLV; Trier hits the jumper to cut the lead back down to 3 points; Mooring hits a couple free throws to extend the UNLV lead again; Dembele with the layup off the rebound to extend the lead for the Rebels; Ayton and Trier with a bucket each for Arizona with Trier's being a big dunk; Juiston with a big dunk of his own to get into double digits and things get a little chippy after the play [SCORE UPDATE: UNLV 33 Arizona 28 - 3:32 1st]

- Dylan Smith with a bucket out of the timeout for Arizona; McCoy gets a bucket to extend UNLV's lead; PJC gets the ball stolen then gets his own steal and finishes with a bucket; A couple free throws out of the timeout for Brandon McCoy to give the Rebels a 9-point lead; McCoy with a dunk now to extend the lead again

Halftime: UNLV 41 Arizona 30
