GAME THREAD: Arizona at UCLA

Arizona is back in action tonight and looking for a win after losing its last two games including Thursday night's defeat at the hands of USC. The Wildcats will have a little more depth tonight with Max Hazzard available to play after sitting out the loss to USC for personal reasons.

UA will still be without starting wing Josh Green, however.

As always, I invite you all to join in the conversation and follow along for updates from the media section at Pauley Pavilion throughout tonight's game.

Starters



1st half

- After a couple scoreless minutes, Dylan Smith finds Zeke Nnaji on the inside for a bucket and foul for a 3-point play; Nico Mannion finds Nnaji in transition for an easy layup and the UA big man has all 5 points in the game so far [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 5 UCLA 0 - 15:40]

- Jake Kyman comes in off the bench and immediately hits a 3-pointer for the Bruins ending the scoring drought; Nnaji fouled and he hits one of two from the line for UA; Jamie Jaquez Jr. with a bucket for the Bruins to cut UA's lead to one point with Max Hazzard now in the game for UA; Chris Smith with a floater and the Bruins have their first lead of the game as he goes over the top of Ira Lee; Stone Gettings hits a fade away jumper for to get Arizona the lead back [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 8 UCLA 7 - 11:48]

- Gettings makes both free throws after the timeout to make it a 3-point UA lead; goaltending on UCLA gives Max Hazzard his first bucket of the game as UA goes up 5 on the play; Nnaji kicks it out to Dylan Smith for a deep 3-pointer and UA has extended its lead to 8 points; David Singleton fouled and he hits a couple free throws for the Bruins who continue to struggle from the field; Zeke Nnaji gets a 3-pointer to bounce in and the Wildcats take their largest lead of the game [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 18 UCLA 9 - 8:23]

Jake Kyman finally ends the drought for UCLA that was over 4 minutes with a floater that falls in; Cody Riley fouled by Hazzard and he makes both free throws to make it a 5-point game; Mannion hits for the Wildcats to push the lead back up; the Wildcats gets a steal and Mannion is hit as he shoots but no foul is called and Sean Miller gets called for a technical because of it; Smith hits one of the two technical free throws; Riley fouled by Christian Koloko and he hits one of two from the line for UCLA; Nnaji with a tough layup and the game is now back to a 7-point Arizona lead; Tyger Campbell fouled by Koloko and he hits both free throws; Mannion fouled by Campbell and he hits both free throws giving UA an 7-point lead; Riley hits for the Bruins to cut into the UA lead; Hill fouled by the Wildcats and he hits both free throws making it a 3-point game; Hill is swarmed by the UA defense but a foul is called and he makes one of two at the line for UCLA; Jules Bernard blocks Nnaji then gets a 3-pointer on the other end to give the Bruins a lead forcing a timeout from Miller as UCLA is on an 8-0 run [SCORE UPDATE: UCLA 25 Arizona 24 - 3:43]

- Hill makes one of two at the line after being fouled; Jaime Jaquez hits one of two at the line to extend UCLA's lead to 3 points; Mannion with a floater in the lane and UA cuts the lead back down to 1 point; Chase Jeter with a jump hook to give Arizona the lead back; Mannion fouled and he hits two free throws making it a 3-point game; Nnaji fouled and he makes one of two at the line giving UA a 4-point lead; Hazzard hits a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to push the UA lead to 6 at the break

2nd half

- Mannion opens the game with a tough layup and foul for a 3-point play and a 9-point lead for the Wildcats; Cody Riley with a put-back basket for UCLA; Smith hits a 3-pointer and the lead is quickly down to 4 points after the Bruins' bucket; Koloko hits for UA on a dunk; Jaquez hits a 3-pointer for the Bruins and the lead is down to 3 points for Arizona; Jaquez hits a jumper now and the lead for UA is down to just 1 point once again; Mannion hits for the Wildcats to quiet the crowd and Miller takes a timeout; Mannion hits a 3-pointer and now has 16 points for UA [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 43 UCLA 37 - 15:29]

- Singleton hits a tough jumper along the baseline for UCLA; Campbell fouled by Gettings and he hits both free throws making it a 2-point game; Baker finds Zeke in good position down low and it's an easy bucket for the Wildcats; Smith with a big 3-pointer for UCLA and the lead is down to 1 point one more time; Ira Lee with a tough move off the dribble for a basket and Arizona's lead is back up to 3; Sean Miller picks up his second technical and is ejected from the game with 12:28 left to play; Smith makes both free throws after the technical for UCLA; Koloko gets a dunk for UA to push the lead to 3 for Arizona; Mannion with another 3-pointer and he now has 19 points [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 52 UCLA 46 - 10:59]

- Jaquez hits a jumper for the Bruins out of the timeout; another dunk for Koloko and the Wildcats push their lead back up to 6; Smith fouled and he hits one of two at the line for UCLA; Riley makes it a 3-point game with two free throw for the Bruins; Dylan Smith hits a 3-pointer for the Wildcats, it's his second of the game; Kyman answers for the Bruins with a 3-pointer of his own and the crowd is back into it; Bernard hits a couple free throws making it a 1-point game [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 57 UCLA 56 - 7:43]

- Arizona ends a scoring drought that went nearly 5 minutes on a nice play from Max Hazzard with a corner 3-pointer to put UA back up by 4; Riley fouled by Smith and he hits both free throws for the Bruins; Mannion finds Nnaji at the rim and the play ends with a big dunk for the Arizona big man [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 62 UCLA 58 - 2:27]

- Smith backs down his man and gets a tough turnaround layup to cut the Arizona lead to just 2 points; a turnover by Arizona ends up as a basket on the other end as Smith hits a jumper tying the game for UCLA; Tyger Campbell with a tough shot falling away from the basket and the Bruins take a lead; UA goes into foul mode and puts Hill at the line and he makes both giving UCLA a 4-point lead; Smith fouled and he hits one of two at the line for the Bruins; Jaquez fouled and he hits one of two at the line for UCLA and the lead is up to 6 points for the Bruins; Koloko gets a shot to fall for the Wildcats cutting the lead to 4 points; Campbell hits one of two at the line
