Throughout the Tommy Lloyd era, he has shown that he isn't afraid of scheduling tough non-conference match up with home-and-home series and one off games. Some teams that UA has played during this time include Duke, Alabama, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, Tennessee and Michigan State. Now, Lloyd is adding another monster to the team's non-conference schedule with CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein reporting that Arizona and UConn have agreed on a home-and-home series starting during the 2025-26 seasoning Connecticut and then a return game to Tucson the following season.

The Big 12 is a meat grinder game in and game and out. Yet, Lloyd isn't backing down on scheduling tough non-conference opponents and giving Wildcats fans some exciting home games to look forward to.
