In-state lineman Alex Doost saw family in Tucson and made a productive visit to Arizona's campus last weekend.

Alex Doost is now at Mountain Ridge HS in Glendale, but he was born and raised in Tucson. His mom's side of the family all still lives 15 minutes from UA's campus, so getting out to see the Wildcats in person is nothing new to him. It had been a while since he met with the coaches, though, so visiting UA last weekend marked another important trip. He was able to make the trek down with his teammate Kaden Hicks, who Arizona is looking at as a potential preferred walk-on player. It's clear that Arizona holds a special place for Doost, but his recruitment is definitely starting to pick up. Michigan State is a big offer in his eyes and he's hoping to make a trip there in the spring.
For now he continues to build a comfort level with the Wildcats.
“They admire family more than anything. They treat their players really nice. They hold them accountable for how they treat everyone else, too. They build them as people. When we went there the players were lifting, and almost of them came up to me and my dad to introduce themselves. They were just so welcoming, and I think that kind of rubbed off on them from the coaches.”
