Top 6: Arizona, Oregon State, Michigan State, BYU, San Diego State, San Jose State

Notable programs that missed the cut: Arizona State, Oregon, Colorado, Nebraska, Washington State

Rundown: High three-star California lineman Elia Migao is an interesting prospect. He has a twin brother also being recruited by several of the same programs, but they play on different sides of the ball and have differences about their games. Elia decided to trim his list on Monday with six schools now in the best spot to land his commitment. The 6-foot-3 offensive lineman from Chaparral High School in Temecula included Arizona, Oregon State, Michigan State, BYU, San Diego State and San Jose State on his list but cut some notable programs such as Oregon and Arizona State.

His recruitment has certainly gone in a different direction than the early stages when Oregon, Arizona State and Colorado were the three programs he was most attracted to. None of those programs remain on his list yet Arizona has been able to chip away and make a move up his list.

I previously mentioned how important Arizona's offer to Elia's brother, Enoka Migao, was for the Wildcats when it came down back in May and that is proving to be meaningful as the process continues to play out for both brothers. Five of the six schools on Elia's list have offered his brother and that continues to be a big part of what will go into making a decision for both recruits. They are working through the recruiting process together and have planned on taking the same visits.

That played a part in why Arizona has made the list, but playing in the Pac-12 is certainly something Elia has thought about previously.

"It feels great," Migao previously told Beavers Edge about having the opportunity to play in the Pac-12. "I remember playing those NCAA games and always using the Pac-12 schools. I never thought I would have the chance to play for some of them, so it's crazy."

I watched both brothers at the Rivals Camp stop in Los Angeles just before coronavirus shut things down, but both players are impressive. Elia definitely has a better chance to contribute right now, but both brothers have plenty of upside. I was impressed with each rep I saw when watching Elia and he didn't struggle to show his dominance against some tough defensive linemen at the camp.

It is going to be interesting to see where the Wildcats go from here, but landing both Elia and Enoka would be impressive for the program.

"I am ultimately going for an education," he said. "So what they have to offer academically is very important, but I really want to go to a school where I can feel like it’s my home. A place I can perform to the best of my ability and a coach to a player relationship is a big part of that."

Andy Buh is the area recruiter for the brothers while Kyle DeVan is obviously playing a part in recruiting Elia as an offensive lineman. While he plays tackle now, the high three-star prospect is likely to move inside at the college level. I watched him work on the inside at the Rivals Camp and he was plenty impressive.

At this point there is no clear timetable for making a decision, but it sounds like the brothers plan to hold off on a decision until they can take physical visits.
