Arizona has locked up a key transfer commitment today as Chattanooga receiver Javin Whatley announced his pledge to the Wildcats over a final group that included North Carolina and Memphis. The UA staff has had some added emphasis on recruiting receivers in the transfer cycle, and Whatley is another one with some experience and production at his last stop. The 5-foot-10 Rockmart, Georgia native, who goes by Nunu, caught 55 passes for 677 yards and 6 touchdowns this season to go along with a kick return touchdown and 396 return yards as well. His 99-yard kickoff return touchdown against Samford in November was one of many big returns he had this season. Whatley has played in 27 games in his career and has totaled 108 catches for 1,810 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.
He'll have one season of remaining eligibility with the Wildcats.
