Arizona has released its tentative spring practice schedule and things will begin Monday evening at 5:40 p.m. MST. Monday's practice will be open to the media for the first 20-30 minutes for the individual periods and the remainder of the practice will be closed. It will not be open to the public.
Also, as I suspected, the team is going to be more cautious with things and a bit more closed off even from how it was last season. Kevin Sumlin will be the only member of the team allowed to speak Monday. No other coaches or players will get a chance to speak with the media.
As of now we are being told media availablity for the other practices will be determined some time next week. I mentioned that ASU and UCLA have gone with completely open (to the media and public) practices under their new head coaches but I had a feeling Arizona was going to go this way.
I'll keep you posted on things and if there are any changes.
