Practice is still going on so I’ll update this later but the viewing period is over now. Here are some photos of a few newcomers.
A couple quick things until I can get to a computer and gather all my thoughts.
- Josh Donovan and Paiton Fears are different looking than any other Arizona offensive linemen. Fears was running with the “first unit” at right tackle while Donovan was also with that first group at left guard. Donovan Laie was at left tackle, Josh McCauley at center and Cody Creason at right guard.
- Arizona has zero depth at defensive tackle. Trevon Mason is not here and that leaves really just Finton Connolly and Myles Tapusoa as the two guys who look the part. Jalen Cochran and Nahe Sulunga were working with the DTs but they don’t look the part as much.
- Kyle DeVan has a lot of Joe Gilbert to his coaching style. He was not wasting any time getting into his guys tonight.
- Khalil Tate seemed to be in a really good mood and I don’t know if there was a time he wasn’t smiling throughout the open portion of practice.
