So this is finally the big visit weekend for Arizona. At this point some of the recruits are starting to arrive for their visits with the kids from New Orleans already starting to make their way in. Overall the Wildcats have two uncommitted prospects on campus this weekend and by now you know who they are with four-star linebacker Arthur McGinnis and receiver/defensive back Darrell Clark both making their way from New Orleans for the visit.
As I mentioned in the other thread there is a decent chance both leave Arizona as committed recruits. It's more likely with Clark, but still there's a chance with a good visit McGinnis decides to pull the trigger as well. Their Warren Easton teammate Kendal Franklin is already committed and he tweeted last night that he had some "exciting news" and there would be "Warren Easton Eagles in a Arizona Wildcat uniform" than was thought originally.
Franklin has tried to stay hands off when it comes to his teammates recruitments, but I'm sure he's been getting a good in when he can as well.
In addition to those two prospects Arizona will have a number of committed recruits on campus for their official visits. The Wildcats tend to hold off on having commits visit officially during the season so they can give them the full "official visit" treatment after things have died down.
That is what this weekend will be used for. Included in that group of official visitors is Brion Anduze, Cody Creason, Anthony Mariscal, Sammy Morrison, Antonio Parks, and Canadian offensive lineman Harper Sherman as well.
All the members of that group are firmly committed at this point, so this weekend will be more about having fun for that group and in the case of Parks working the recruiting angle a bit more with the two uncommitted fellow Louisiana recruits. The group will take in the Utah game, which I'm sure will have a nice atmosphere as well.
It should be a good weekend for Arizona to make some progress with the class and if both commitments go down this weekend it will be interesting to see how the Wildcats approach the next couple weeks.
I will be sure to updated you on any updated information I hear coming out of the visits this weekend.
