We all knew the "kids" from Servite were one day going to form the nucleus of a potentially great team. Maybe even help the team this year. We were especially excited about TMac and the likelihood that he would be a true Freshmen starter and maybe even Keyan Burnett. In the Spring Noah worked his way up to de Laura's backup and has already shown he is the real deal. That said, last night we saw the emergence of the fourth Servite "kid" who came in with little fanfare and not a whole lot of expectations. Certainly, not for this year. He is young, undersized for a Line Backer and just making the traveling squad was probably his best hope. But, for those of us who were watching the entire game and focused on the defense we saw #59 show up play after play, making plays. It was almost like Jacob Manu was Jerry Robert's kid brother. Hats off to the person who took a chance and put Manu in for real playing time. Wow. Did any one else notice?
