It seemed a little peculiar that Rourke Freeburg, Jaydin Young and Treydan Stukes were all picked to speak with the media today before practice was called off. Apparently there was a method to the madness for Jedd Fisch. All three in-state defensive players have been put on scholarship by Arizona after initially walking on with the Wildcats. It is not a surprise, but it is certainly a long time coming for someone like Freeburg.
All three guys will play this season and contribute on defense while Young is looking like a starter at safety heading into his first full season with the team. He did have offers from other programs coming out of high school, so you have to think this signals to him that he made the right decision waiting the process out with UA.
