Arizona with a couple new offers out tonight including an interesting one that fits the mold of how the Wildcats have had some success up front. Here is a look at who picked up offers today.

Isaiah Johnson (Northeastern Oklahoma A&M/DT/2018)

The 2018 recruit has an interesting story. He had some pretty big offers out of high school in 2015, but he couldn't qualify academically so he went the junior college route and was expected to be a 2017 recruit but he busted up his knee with an ACL injury and redshirted in 2016. Before the injury he had offers from schools like Nebraska, Mississippi State and West Virginia. He played this season and has performed well with 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. The NEO official roster lists him at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds but I have seen him listed as high as 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds. I have not been able to get a straight answer on his exact height and weight but I'm going to guess it's somewhere in between since schools don't tend to undersell their players height and weight. Still, he is an intriguing recruit with an interesting story to lead up to this point and UA has done well with guys like this.

Because he redshirted he now only has two to play two but last I heard he is a December grad and is expected to be able to participate in spring ball. Arizona is also in a good position with his teammate Nick Dawson as well, so that could help in this scenario. There are some big schools that are going to get involved soon and so it could eventually be tough to pull him but it is an interesting situation.

Lavon "LV" Bunkley-Shelton (Gardena-Serra/ATH/2020)

Arizona also offered a sophomore as it went out to SoCal for an offer at Khalil Tate's school Gardena-Serra to offer the impressive athlete prospect. Bunkley-Shelton already holds offers from BYU, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, TCU and Utah. I saw him earlier in the month and earlier in the year at the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp and he's an impressive player and there's a reason he has the offers he does.

Here's a rundown of what he looked like at the Rivals camp form the national team:

"Bunkley-Shelton comes from a program known for producing quality talent and he could be the next star to watch at the school. He was a tactician as a route-runner, consistently getting open and making some nice catches while tip-toeing the sideline."

He plays receiver and corner but he projects as a receiver at the next level. He just recently visited Notre Dame and he will be a national recruit when all is said and done.
