Arizona women's basketball coach Adia Barnes is no stranger to signing international players and neither is Sean Miller, but the UA men's basketball coach has not attacked the international recruiting scene like he has this year. Because of that he has leaned on Barnes for some help since she has plenty of experience signing prospects from overseas.

Barnes spoke with the media this week and was asked about that.

"We actually talked because he told me he was recruiting some internationals," Barnes said. "In his situation it's very difficult because you have to recruit like eight people a year. I would not want to do that. You have such a big turnover every year and I think with international kids there are gonna be some one-and-dones but I think there's also a different level of motivation sometimes. If you look at the situations overseas they're nothing like here.

"Maybe when you get to the highest level of the Spanish League or something, but I think sometimes they're a lot more hungry and it's just different. I think the work ethic is different sometimes – for women especially. So, I actually sent him a link to this global stuff. It's a link we use to track all the embassies and stuff. I actually sent it to them last week.

"He's gonna sign a few so he's excited."
