GAME THREAD: Arizona vs Baylor

Hey! Arizona is back on the floor tonight after having the rest of the week off from games. The Wildcats will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Alabama last weekend as UA takes on Baylor tonight at McKale Center.

It will be an interesting test for the 'Cats since Baylor does some different things with its defense and also has been a good offensive rebounding and shot-blocking team this year. As always feel free to join the conversation throughout the game below.

Starters

Arizona: Justin Coleman, Brandon Williams, Brandon Randolph, Emmanuel Akot, Chase Jeter
Baylor: King McClure, Makai Mason, Mark Vital, Mario Kegler, Tristan Clark

1st half

- Baylor coming out in that zone already and it's giving Arizona some issues on the scoring end as both teams are scoreless after the first few possessions; it took two minutes but Kegler gets the first bucket in this game; Williams to Jeter for a dunk and UA's first bucket but the crowd is still a little bit dead; Akot gets a bucket to fall for the Wildcats; Flo Thamba gets a layup for the Bears; Mason hits a 3-pointer for Baylor to tie it up [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 7 Baylor 7 - 13:37]

- Coleman hits two free throws out of the timeout for the Wildcats; Randolph hits a corner jumper for the Wildcats to extend the lead; Jared Butler hits for Baylor from 3-point range and the lead is down to 1 [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 11 Baylor 10 - 10:40]

- Kegler with a couple free throws to give Baylor the lead; Williams hits Lee for the dunk to give the lead back to UA; Williams hits a 3-pointer to push the lead back up; Mason hits a jumper for Baylor to trim it back down to 2 points [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 16 Baylor 14 - 7:52]

- Clark ties it up after making a bucket in the lane for Baylor; Jeter gets a bucket to fall for the Wildcats as UA regains the lead; Randolph hits a 3-pointer to push the lead up again for UA, Clark gets a layup to fall as Baylor continues to rack up the offensive boards [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 21 Baylor 18 - 3:35]

- Coleman gets a fastbreak layup for the Wildcats to extend the lead; Mason hits for the Bears to cut the lead back down to 3 points

2nd half

- Coleman hits a 3-pointer for Arizona to oepn the half as the Wildcats have their biggest lead of the game at 6 points; Clark with another layup for Baylor; Mark Vital gets a shot to fall on the OOB play for the Bears and UA's lead is down to 2 points; Mason hits a jumper for Baylor and it's all tied up; Randolph hits from the corner for the Wildcats; Mason with his second 3-pointer and he now has 12 points for Baylor and it's all tied up [SCORE UPDATE: Arizona 29 Baylor 29 - 15:49]

- Coleman hits Lee and the Wildcats are back on top in this one after the layup; Davonte Bandoo gets his first bucket of the game for Baylor and it's tied up once more in this low-scoring contest; Kegler gets layup to fall to give the Bears a lead; Baylor has its biggest lead of the game after a 6-0 run with a jumper from Mason; Mason gets to the bucket once more and Baylor pushes the lead to 6 forcing Sean Miller to take a timeout [SCORE UPDATE: Baylor 37 Arizona 31 - 12:20]

- Dylan Smith with a big 3-pointer for the Wildcats to cut the lead down to 3 and the crowd is back into it; Mayer hits a free throw for Baylor; Mason hits a free throw for the Bears to extend the lead back out; Smith hits another 3-pointer for the Wildcats; Kegler gets a layup to fall for Baylor; Kegler comes back with a 3-pointer and the lead is up to 7 points for the Bears [SCORE UPDATE: Baylor 44 Arizona 37 - 7:35]

- Jeter gets a layup to fall and UA cuts into the Baylor lead; Clark with a turnaround jump hook and Baylor pushes the lead back up to 7 points; Mason with a jumper right as the shot clock went off and the lead for Baylor is now 9 points and Miller takes another timeout [SCORE UPDATE: Baylor 48 Arizona 39 - 4:03]

- Vital hits for Baylor to push the lead up to 11 points for the Bears; Smith with this third 3-pointer of the game as the Wildcats take the lead down to 8 forcing a timeout from Scott Drew and the Bears; Jared Butler hits for Baylor out of the timeout; Randolph hits for the Wildcats to cut it back down to 8 points in favor of the Bears; Mason hits one of two at the line to push the lead back up to 9 points; Randolph gets a 3-pointer to fall and UA has the lead down to 6 points; Mason hits a couple free throws

Final: Baylor 58 Arizona 49

The Wildcats 52-game home nonconference winning streak comes to an end.
