Pac-12 position unit rankings: Quarterback

8th - Arizona: Here’s a random piece of trivia: In how many games did Arizona complete more than 20 passes? Answer: Zero. A lot of that is due to injury issues that, at one point, forced the Wildcats to rely on tight end Matt Morin under center. Brandon Dawkins was much more impressive as a runner. He ran for 944 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Pac-12 position group rankings: Running backs

11th - Arizona: Though the Wildcats led the conference in rushing yardage, their running backs only accounted for 41 percent of that production. The Arizona running backs finished 12th in the conference in third-down rushing conversions (39.1 percent) and 11th in the conference in touchdowns (nine) and yards per game (96.0).

Pac-12 position group rankings: Offensive line

10th - Arizona: QB Brandon Dawkins's ability to run helped make up for the line's shortcomings.

Pac-12 position group rankings: Wide receivers

11th - Arizona: The Wildcats finished ninth in the conference in touchdowns (10) and receptions (119). Arizona’s top receiver -- Shun Brown (521 yards) -- didn’t even crack the Pac-12’s top 20.

Pac-12 position group rankings: Defensive line

10th - Arizona: The vast majority of the Wildcats' defensive production came from the back levels of their defense. Sani Fuimaono, the line's leading tackler, ranked way down at No. 15 on the team in that category with only 14 stops. Parker Zellers did deliver three sacks, but there wasn't much else to write home about for a unit that gave up 5.0 yards per rush during conference play.

Pac-12 position unit rankings: Linebackers

7th - Arizona: The Wildcats had some talent here: Between California transfer Michael Barton, Paul Magloire Jr., DeAndre' Miller and Cody Ippolito, the Arizona linebacking corps caused some disruption in the backfield. The problem is that health was again hard to come by, as all four of those players missed at least one game. Ippolito played only half the season.

Pac-12 position group rankings: Defensive backs

11th - Arizona: The Wildcats allowed the highest completion percentage in the conference (65.8), the most touchdown passes (34), the third-most passing yards (3,302) and intercepted the second-fewest passes (8).
