As I said previously, Arizona has been pressuring recruits to commit recently and it continues with the second commitment of the day as Katy, Texas defensive back Dalton Johnson has committed to the Wildcats over offers from Virginia Tech, SMU, Houston, Colorado State, UNLV and several others.
Johnson is a bit undersized but he could play either safety spot in the UA defense. He's good about making plays in the open field and tracking down the ball carrier as well. He's a playmaker and a team can never have too many of those.
Arizona first offered him back in April and has continued to keep in contact with him pushing him to pull the trigger on his pledge today. A nice day for Jeremy Springer as he is the lead recruiter for Johnson and the earlier commitment of the day Kevon Garcia.
