This is one I have hinted at for a while now, but Arizona was finally able to flip Louisville offensive line commit Jamari Williams today. The three-star prospect from Florida took an official visit to Arizona and when I asked him for an interview he said "don't tell anyone I visited" and declined my request. He has essentially done the same thing ever since but has been active tweeting and retweeting things about Arizona on Twitter.

I was told Arizona was in a good position with him after that trip and he simply didn't want to make things awkward with Louisville since he committed there just a few weeks before he visited Arizona back in June.

My impression was that it would become public closer to the December signing period, but it gets done today and the Wildcats have themselves another important piece at a position of need. Williams has nearly 30 offers on the table with programs such as Kentucky, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Purdue and Syracuse on that list.

Rivals.com Southeast analyst Woody Wommack recently watched Williams in action and here is part of his evaluation of the new UA commit.

"Williams is the key to the Cardinal Gibbons offensive line, with good size and strength, he's responsible for keeping Scalzo clean and opening holes for Davis."

I don't believe this will hurt any for Jakai Clark who will be making his decision soon. The urgency from Williams certainly tells you that Arizona is at least pushing spots closing up to prospects, but the Wildcats like both prospects and at this point would make room for both. Maybe that changes in the next week if they get a good read on a junior college prospect such as Paiton Fears, but for now Clark still has a spot.
