It's midway through the work week and before the current Arizona commits play their games this weekend, we have to check in on how they looked last week. There were again some strong performances from UA's recruiting class led by the recruit at the top who continues to turn in strong outings with some eye-popping stats.

Here's a look at how the recruits performed in their games last week with many of the players opening their seasons last Friday or Saturday.

Update: I was able to make it out to Gunnell's game against La Marque last Friday night while in Houston. It was another big win for St. Pius X and Gunnell only played three quarters with UA receivers coach Taylor Mazzone looking on. Gunnell did a little bit of everything and ended his night with six touchdown passes and 388 passing yards on 19 completions. He also ran for 47 yards as well. It was a pretty easy game for the UA pledge, but he showcased his athleticism and ability to make strong throws in the game. His team will take on Bellaire-Episcopal this week.

Update: Watson's team has still not supplied any stats, but he had a tackle in the team's 37-28 win over Clovis North last week. His team will face Dinuba High this week.
Update: Roland and his Knight squad moved to 2-1 on the season with a 28-21 win over Menifee (Calif.) Paloma Valley last week. The UA cornerback commit plays on both sides of the ball and he had 62 receiving yards on offense to go with six tackles including a tackle for loss and a forced fumble in the game. His team will take on Quartz Hill this week.
Update: On the other side of Houston, Arizona's other commit from the area was playing in front of running backs coach Clarence McKinney and his team took home a 55-40 win over Beaumont-West Brook. Wiley finished the game with 138 yards on 27 carries and he also caught one pass. His team will take on Houston-Eisenhower this week.
Update: Johnson and his Roosevelt squad dropped a road game in a neutral site game falling to Anaheim-Servite 32-13 at Cerritos College, but the UA wideout commit put together another nice performance. He finished the game with five catches for 92 yards taking his early season total up to 347 yards receiving. His team will head out to the desert this week as it takes on Rancho Mirage High near Palm Springs.
Update: Bradford's game with Skyline against Ennis High was cancelled because of lightning in the area. His team will be back in action this week, Thursday night, against Arlington-Sam Houston.
Update: It was another night highlighted by the defense for Clark's South Oak Cliff squad in what turned out to be a 7-0 loss for the UA linebacker commit against Duncanville. He had a couple tackles including a tackle for loss in the game based on the information I could find.
Update: Morgan's Marana squad knocked off Tucson-Desert View last week in a 35-0 victory with the offensive line leading the way for 320 rushing yards. Marana will host Gilbert-Williams Field this week with standout player Noa Pola-Gates coming to town with his squad that is 3-1 heading into the game this Friday.
Update: Leone opened its season last week but as of now there have been no stats or updates provided on Siaumau's first game of the season.
Update: St. Thomas More opened its season against Nordrhein-Westfalen Green Machine from Dusseldorf, Germany last Saturday and came away with a 47-0 victory. Gaines played a strong game and came up with at least one tackle based on highlight videos.
Update: Ostendorp's Desert Vista team knocked off Surprise-Valley Vista last week 48-20 to move to 3-0 on the season, but no punting stats for the UA pledge have been provided.
