DeAndre Ayton is the top prospect in the 2017 class and while programs have been hesitant to join his recruitment because of the path he has taken and chance that he never actually makes it into school. Ayton told reporters at the Peach Jam that he has learned from the NCAA that he will be on track to be eligible should he complete summer school.

He is completely under the impression that he will be in college next year and because of that more programs are starting to get involved. Ayton recently visited Arizona on an unofficial trip and the big sell to him right now is being the No. 1 pick. He doesn't plan on being in school for more than a year so the Wildcats are selling him on being the first top pick at Arizona and that is really appealing to him right now. Kentucky and Kansas are the other two programs involved quite a bit.

Time will tell how much things will move forward with it but the Wildcats are in the mix.

Here is some more on how he played Thursday in South Carolina.
