I caught up with freshman safety Tristan Cooper to chat about his early success with the Wildcats through three games. With Tellas Jones expected back this Saturday it will mean splitting time for Cooper at the spur position, but he is still plenty excited about the opportunities he's had this early in his career.

Former Arizona and Cholla High coach Jeff Woodruff was Cooper's coach at Andress High in El Paso and that is how the connection with the Wildcats was started. After Woodruff was able to make the connection happen with the staff things picked up from there and it led to Cooper committing to the 'Cats. Now he's already a major contributor for UA and he is pleased with how things are moving along.
