Monday morning Arizona guard became the first UA player to receive conference honors after being named Big 12 player of the week following the Wildcats' wins over No. 3 Iowa and in-state rival Arizona State. In those games he hit a historic 55-foot shot against the Cyclones to send the game into overtime where the Cats would go on to win and then followed the performance up against the Sun Devils where he hit dagger 3-point buckets down the stretch of the game.

Overall, in two games Love averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 39% from the field and knocking down nine 3-points buckets down the stretch of both games.

Although Love had back-to-back great performances, his status for the upcoming game against BYU is up in the air due to his ejection against ASU. It was first believed that he received two quick technical fouls that caused him to be tossed. However, the Big 12 announced that the call was a flagrant 2 foul and that means he could be suspended for the upcoming game, it is a league decision.
