Four-star Arizona defensive end commit Josh Allen made the decision a few days ago that he will sit out the 2015 season and use his redshirt now giving him three years to play three when he arrives in Tucson as opposed to three to play two at Arizona. He is expected to be ready to go as a midyear guy, so he won't miss much time and UA fully expects him to not slack off during the season. Still, it looks like it will be a benefit for the 'Cats having him for an extra year of eligibility.

If he's able to stay in good shape it feels like it will be a good move for the Long Beach City College standout.
