Top 8: Arizona, UCLA, Cal, Utah, Oregon State, Washington State, Duke, San Diego State

Rundown: Arizona has done well with several offensive line recruits in California in the current recruiting cycle and some evidence of that is one of UA's two offensive commits is an offensive lineman from Southern California, JT Hand. He's not the only one Arizona has been targeting and one of the priority recruits in the area for the Wildcats announced his top eight on Monday night as Serrano High School (Phelan, California) standout offensive lineman Garrett DiGiorgio made his trimmed-down list public.

UA has done a good job of recruiting him up to this point with Kyle DeVan leading the way for the Wildcats. Getting him on campus for a visit at some point likely needs to happen before the Wildcats can make a big move in his recruitment, but at this point it still remains unclear when that will be allowed to happen with the NCAA's current rules prohibiting in-person visits to college campuses.

UCLA is one school the Wildcats and every other program on his list have to compete with as the Bruins have emerged as an early behind-the-scenes favorite so far.

"Academics, a good team, a good place to call family," DiGiorgio previously told Golden Bear Report. "I want to fit in on the team and feel at home there. I’m just looking for a good place to be for family and education."

Because he wants to take visits before coming to a decision the process is not one that is going to wrap up soon, so Arizona will still have time to make its move in his recruitment.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound recruit could play on either side of the offensive line as a tackle. Right now he projects best as a right tackle, but he could easily be moved to the other side and work out just fine. He has good athleticism and mobility for someone his size and he shows plenty of strength on film as well. He will have to refine his technique, like all offensive line recruits making the jump from high school to college, but he is an impressive prospect who could certainly help the Wildcats build up the line in the future.
