Arizona cleaned up today as the Pac-12 announced its postseason honors. The Wildcats earned two of the top individual awards with head coach Jay Johnson winning the Pac-12 Coach of the Year award while catcher Daniel Susac was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. The Wildcats having two candidates for the Pac-12 Player of the Year (Susac/Jacob Berry) surely didn't help in this instance and the honor went to Oregon's Aaron Zavala.
Berry was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference team, however, and he was joined by four other players – Donta' Williams, Chase Silseth, Branden Boissiere and Susac. Both Susac and Williams also were recognized as members of the Pac-12 All-Defensive team.
Outfielder Ryan Holgate, relief pitcher Vince Vannelle and second baseman Kobe Kato earned honorable mention nods.
