As I review my Goazcats football recruitment board every day to see if there are any new commits and/or visits, it makes me wonder, is there a metric or standard percentage considered good in terms of the rate of visits turned verbal commits? Putting it in the simplest terms there appears to be lots of steps in the commitment process. 1) The university football team's staff identifying possible recruits; 2) contact made and multiple visits/communication exchanges; 3) offers made to recruits; 4) invitations to visit; 5) the actual visit; 6) continued communication exchanges for those who do not verbally commit on the visit; and 7) final recruit's decision to commit or not. I guess my question would be from step 5 to step 7, what percentage is considered good to gain a commitment?
