It's obnoxious the names i see on the short list of coaching. 1. rick neuheisel, how in the world could this guy even be considered. He hasn't won in any destination and would be a sign of stagnation rather than growth. Actually a large regression in UofA’s football program. Time to move on from coaches who have not produced, better to hire someone without head coaching experience than a guy like Neuheisel who was not successful in his previous jobs. I won't even get into his legal issues with the previous universities.
2. Mark Hefflich, similarly this guy inherited an Oregon program at the pinnacle of success and couldn't run with it. He ran it into the ground. He literally dropped the ball and couldn't recruit. Why would he better in Tucson where we have a less loyal fan base than Oregon and realistically a harder place to recruit.
In short it's the AD's job to see these flaws but it’s an embarrassment that they are both considered on the short list. Hiring either of these two coaches would be worse of a hire than AZ ST hiring Herm Edwards.
