Arizona has added another graduate transfer linebacker to the roster for the upcoming season. Bowling Green graduate transfer Jerry Roberts has decided to join the Wildcats after four seasons with the Falcons. He will have two seasons to play at UA once he graduates this spring. He says he will have three years to play at UA but I'm still trying to find the clarification of how that is possible but either way he will be in Tucson for more than one season. The Pennsylvania native has really good size at around 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds and will add some quality depth for the defense. He'll enter his career with the Wildcats having started 15 games in his career including all five contests last season at Bowling Green.
He has collected 93 tackles in his career to go with 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble through 20 career games.
Roberts is the ninth transfer the program has added this offseason and the third graduate transfer. Arizona has a couple more scholarship spots it can use to fill out the roster for the upcoming despite the latest addition of the Bowling Green linebacker. Roberts announced his plan to transfer last month and the Wildcats have been in pursuit since that time.
