Hey guys, just finishing up day No. 1 of Arizona's fall training camp. I'll have my thoughts in an article today. but I wanted to share a few quick takeaways from an easy going first day of camp.
Here's my three quick takeaways:
- Johnny Nasen has turned up the intensity. Throughout spring Nansen showed that he is a hands-on defensive coordinator, but at the start of fall his intensity has hit another notch and has been getting on guys to run the drills properly. He isn't nearly as intense as Don Brown, but he definitely has a fire in his belly.
- Tacario Davis his extremely long, he sticks out of the crowd, and it is clear why the coaching staff was high on Davis. He is easily the tallest CB on the team.
- Rayshon "Speedy" Luke is just that, the man is one of the fastest players on the team and it is clear why coach Harvey (track) wants him on the track team. I don't know how much time he will see in the backfield, but he will be someone the staff will try to get the ball to at least 3 to 4 times a game.
I'll have more tonight, but feel free to ask any questions or add to the conversation.
