Hey guys, on Tuesday the media was allowed to watch 30 minutes practice before the team heads to Israel and Abu Dhabi. There were a few things that stood out during that time that I would like to share below.

Quick takes:

Conrad Martinez - I looked at the film of Conrad Martinez when he signed and didn't think much of him. The film wasn't very impressive. However, I've changed my mind after watching one practice.

Martinez is 100% a floor general and commands the floor when he is in. I saw this during free flowing offensive drills with no defense. He made sure everyone was in the right spot. Plus during 1-on-1 drills where the goal was to score the ball against heavy lock down defense, he was able to slash and get to his spot most of the time.

I'm highly impressed with Martinez and see a little TJ McConnell in him.

KJ Lewis - People are sleeping on guard KJ Lewis and we and coach Tommy Lloyd have said multiple times. Lewis was highly impressive during the 1-on-1 drills not only on offense but on defense as well. He might be one of the top 3 defensive players on the team. He is going to be very special and make a push for a starting spot.

Oumar Ballo - Oumar Ballo was moving well and getting to the bucket. The biggest difference with him is that his arms are noticeably larger and looks to have way more muscle.

A lot of great stuff and those are the things that stood out to me.
