Four-star shooting guard Terry Armstrong has officially trimmed down his list of options to four schools and Michigan State was not one of them. The Michigan native has been viewed as a MSU lean in the past, but as his recruitment has unfolded the programs that made the cut for the No. 60-recruit in the class have started to emerge.

Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Oregon are the four schools to make the final list for Armstrong and he is right in the middle of taking his visits. He is not far removed from an official visit to Oklahoma with a trip to Arizona scheduled for Oct. 5. He is then expected to see New Mexico the week after that.

Right now Arizona has amped up its efforts with Armstrong making an effort to see him early in the in-home visit process last week with Sean Miller making it up to Bella Vista Prep to watch him work out.

Here is what Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi had to say about the UA target and the chances he could make another move up the rankings down the line.

"A native of Michigan who now attends school in Arizona, Terry Armstrong has the tools to make a big jump during his senior year," Bossi wrote.

"Armstrong is a good-sized wing who has athleticism, strength and game to match. However, he’s not always been the most consistent player and because he’s had some high school transfers, he’s missed out on some time on the floor that could have been helping to prepare him for the next step. His situation looks to be stabilizing, though, and that’s great for him but potentially dangerous to those ranked above him."
All four schools are in a strong position here, but one to watch out for will be Oregon. He has yet to schedule an official visit there, but the Ducks are an interesting option for Armstrong. The Wildcats have put in quite a bit of effort with Armstrong and his upcoming visit to the school could determine a lot about where things go. New Mexico has also done a very good job with him as well and it is no fluke that the Lobos are still in the picture.
