The Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference team voting is currently taking place with the selections expected to be announced around next week's Pac-12 Media Day in Los Angeles. It is always interesting to see which players are nominated since the teams handle that part themselves before the media is allowed to vote and pick the teams. Arizona nominated players at most positions, and there were certainly some interesting decisions the staff decided to make when picking who it wanted to nominate for the various groups. These decisions typically give some insight into the team and who the staff believes will make the biggest impact. One notable omission, though it is unclear if it was a mistake or not, is offensive lineman Donovan Laie. The veteran tackle/guard is still viewed as one of the team's top NFL prospects but only Jordan Morgan was nominated by the team among the offensive line group.

The Wildcats did not nominate a quarterback for any award, but that is not a huge surprise since UA hasn't yet named its starter. Outside of that the team nominated a player from every other position group for the various spots. Here's a rundown of who was picked by the staff as a nominee for a preseason honor.

Offense
Jordan Morgan (offensive lineman)
Michael Wiley (running back)
Stanley Berryhill III (receiver)
Bryce Wolma (tight end)

Defense
Christian Roland-Wallace (defensive back)
Jaxen Turner (defensive back)
Jalen Harris (defensive line)
Trevon Mason (defensive line)
Anthony Pandy (linebacker)

Specialists
Lucas Havrisik (kicker)
Thomas Reid III (all-purpose/special teams)
Tayvian Cunningham (return specialist)
