The last line I saw was Houston -10, and most everyone is going with Houston. I'm going with the Cats in a 30-19 stunner.
1. Houston won last year 19-16. Are they much better this year and us that much worse?
2. Kyle Allen pretty much shredded us last year, 25-32 for 225 yds. Is their new QB that much better?
3. Their starting TB was 5.9 against us. Is the new TB that much better?
4. Dawkins passed for 178 yds., and rushed for 2.0. With an adjusted game plan this week, can Tate beat that on both counts? He should.
5. Much is made about our new OL, but Houston lost 3, also have had some makeshift, and said to have no depth themselves.
6. Tate had time to throw last week, and expect more quicker and intermediate throws to help neutralize Oliver rather than 0-11 on bombs we saw last week.
7. We return everyone on defense with a bigger, deeper DL. BYU not withstanding, are we really going to be worse this year? We shouldn't be.
8. They return Oliver, but have 8 new starters on defense. They gave up 27 to Rice (1-11 last year). If our O isn't better than Rice, we're in big trouble.
9. We're playing at their place this year, but Houston averages about 30,000, not the most intimidating place to play.
