Other offers: Oregon, Minnesota, Michigan State, Arizona State, Iowa State, Indiana, Colorado
Rundown: Arizona has had plenty of high-level legacy recruits on its radar in the last several years and the second one from the same family is now coming into his own as a Power Five-level prospect. Benjamin Morrison from Brophy Prep in Phoenix has added the Wildcats to his offer list as the program joins several other Power Five schools that have already taken the leap. Morrison has plenty of ties to UA including his father, Darryl, and his older brother, Sammy, who have both played for the Wildcats.
The 6-foot defensive back has been impressive through his first two seasons of high school football and being the son of a former NFL player has certainly helped bring him even more attention leading to some significant offers. Oregon, Minnesota and Michigan State are the last three schools to offer him so Arizona coming into the picture with an offer isn't a shock.
His brother Sammy was able to get on the field as a freshman with the Wildcats but eventually injuries forced him to take some time away from the game and he would ultimately leave the program before finishing his career. Darryl, of course, played for the Wildcats during the Desert Swarm years under Dick Tomey and eventually went on to become a sixth-round NFL Draft pick in 1993.
There is plenty of affection for the school from the Morrison Family, so the offer from Arizona is going to be a significant one as he moves ahead.
The offer from Oregon is going to be a big one during his recruitment as well and the Ducks could ultimately be a difficult program to beat when all is said and done. There are also expected to be more high-level offers that come his way in the next couple years as well so there will be plenty of competition for the Wildcats.
Morrison had 42 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed plus two interceptions as a sophomore during the 2019 season.
