Following Aaron Gordon's Summer League debut, Nick Johnson took the floor for the Houston Rockets to make his debut against the Detroit Pistons.

Johnson's play was up-tempo from the tip, he opened the game with an alley-oop layup and continued his high-octane play until the final buzzer.

Defensively, Johnson limited Detroit point guard, Peyton Siva. Most of Siva's production came when Johnson was on the bench or defending Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

The Pac-12 Player of the Year kept Houston in the game when they fell behind by double digits in the early stages. With 35 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Johnson hit a three-pointer to cut Detroit's lead to three.

In a losing effort, Johnson scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists.

The highlight of the game saw Johnson put his 40-inch vertical leap to work when he dunked on Piston's center, Tim Ohlbrecht.

Houston will face the Orlando Magic on Monday, July 7th. This will be the first NBA meeting between Johnson and former teammate Aaron Gordon.
