I caught up with new Arizona offer Logan Gamble Sunday night and Arizona is his first offer, but he has had an eye on the school for a long time. The 6-foot-6 defensive end used to play basketball and he said his dream school was Arizona when he thought that is what he would be playing. Once he moved to football that dream faded a little bit he said, but he has always held UA in high regard.
He plans to visit Tucson next month and then he will go from there. The process is so new to him that he isn't sure what he wants to do yet, but he does know that he likes Arizona and the discussions he has had with the coaching staff. From my experience recruits who say the things Gamble said to me usually end up leaning a certain way. We'll see how it plays out, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me to see him make an early decision.
If the offers really start getting out of control that could change things, but I get the sense he really likes Arizona ... a lot.
