Notable offers: Stanford, Michigan State, Duke, Indiana, New Mexico, UNLV, Colorado State, Yale, Harvard, Cornell, Army, Air Force, Navy
Rundown: Arizona jumped in with an offer to in-state defensive end Anthony Franklin today after he had a conversation with defensive line coach Stan Eggen. The Phoenix-Pinnacle standout has been on a roll as of late with more schools continuing to get involved with his first Pac-12 offer coming through yesterday as Stanford offered him. Michigan State offered him earlier in the process to become his first Power Five offer. Plus he has Power Five offers from Duke and Indiana as well. He has several Ivy League offers in addition to offers from the service academies to go along with a few Mountain West offers.
The Stanford offer is expected to be a big one in his recruitment. He's already had a chance to visit the campus and it's an offer that should gain traction as he moves forward in the process. He has already visited UA previously as well as a group of Pinnacle players made the trek down to Tucson to see the Wildcats take on Texas Tech last season.
Franklin has good side and has enough versatility to move inside eventually if the program he picks decides it wants to use him him at a position other than defensive end. He has a knack for getting into the backfield and has some nice athleticism as well.
He had 23 tackles, four sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss during his junior season.
