In-state offensive lineman Isaia Glass (Queen Creek HS) has plenty of options on the table across the country. Arizona offered him a while back and has been recruiting him for much longer, but a recent offer from Arizona State certainly changed things a bit in his recruitment. His dad played for the Sun Devils and it is close to home.
Glass previously released a top seven that did not include the Sun Devils but did include the Wildcats. Oregon State, Washington State, Utah, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Iowa State were the other programs to make the cut.
ASU is now in the mix with the other programs, but just because he now has that offer doesn't mean programs like UA are on the outside looking in.
“Arizona State is definitely right there with any other school," he told BeaversEdge.com this week. "I am still talking to all the other schools like Oregon State, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and all of them.”
Glass has been to Tucson several times and seen the Wildcats in action quite a bit over the last couple seasons. He is familiar with UA, but he wanted to become more familiar with other programs on his list so like many other prospects in the class he recently decided to see the other part of the country and programs on his list in person despite the recruiting dead period. Iowa State, Indiana, Oklahoma State and Kansas State are all schools Glass will have seen by the end of his trip this week.
Soon he will begin to take a better look at all the programs he is most interested in to begin eliminating some of those options. Still, he is not in a rush to make a commitment and decide on any school just yet.
“It would be nice to have a decision made before school starts back so I don’t have to worry about it while I am in school and in my senior season, but I am still not 100% sure when I will be ready," he said.
