Arizona is officially out of the picture for the five-star forward from Seattle. It felt like a lock that the Wildcats would be in this thing for the long haul, but his final five is out and UA did not make it. San Diego State, Texas, Kentucky, UCLA and Washington are the schools still in the hunt. San Diego State has been the favorite for a while now, but recently Texas has made up a ton of ground and is threatening to become the team to beat as this thing moves forward.

The cut will make the next several months more manageable as he was planning to hold out on a decision until the spring. Maybe this moves it forward, but when it comes to the small forward position the Wildcats will move on and look at other options.

It's crazy how recruiting turns sometimes because you could have asked several people in the know a few weeks ago where he was going and Arizona would have gotten a couple mentions. Now UA is not even on the list. This is feeling like it could be a wild recruitment, so maybe it's best for the 'Cats to get out now. He's one heck of a talent though and someone who could have done a lot of good with the Wildcats.
