I'm doing the preparations for Signing Day next week right now, and I just got off the phone with defensive end commit Timmy Hamilton. I was asking him about what sold him on Arizona now that he has had a chance to reflect and he mentioned one thing in particular is that the coaching staff assured him that it would remain in tact throughout his career. He said that is what really made the difference since his other options were going through coaching changes.
He then added that he spoke to Charlie Ragle again today and that he was assured again that no Arizona coaches would be leaving during Hamilton's time at Arizona. It was comforting to hear for the UA commit, and at this point it is something Arizona is certainly hanging its hat on with recruits.
Here is what Hamilton told me Ragle passed along to him: "I remember you saying that you wanted to go to a place where the coaches are going to be there. I can promise you until you're gone that we're going to be here. No coaching changes. No new faces. We're going to be here."
That certainly made an impact on Hamilton and if Rodriguez can keep his staff together it could really help moving forward with recruiting.
