In-state defensive end Regen Terry has been fortunate enough to take a bunch of unofficial visits already in the process. His dad is on staff at Boston College and he has the means to get around the country on his own dime. That can be helpful to a recruit and Terry took advantage of his opportunities to see programs across the country. So, when are recruit like him comes out with a list it holds a bit more weight considering he has seen a lot of the options on the table.
Monday, the 6-foot-4 prospect released his top six and Arizona was among the programs listed. Terry also listed Utah, Nebraska, Kansas State, Boston College and Boise State. It is an eclectic list, but it is a good sign for UA to remain in the picture considering his visit out to Tucson came early in the the process back when the Wildcats were going through spring ball. He's been able to take a lot more trips since then, but the coaching staff at Arizona has been able to stay in there with him.
The Wildcats remain a contender for his commitment even with his dad on the staff at another college on the list. He has maintained that his connections to BC won't be the deciding factor in his recruitment and he did enjoy his time on campus this spring.
"It was incredible," he previously said. "I like to be around people who get after it, and that's important. They're the same people whether you're on the phone or right in front of you."
The coaching staff has made a big impact on Terry and that is why the Wildcats have remained in the picture.
"They're a great group of men," he said of UA's staff. "They care about you and they're up front, and that's what you want as a kid going into a college. People that are willing to help you get where you want. That's really good."
As of now there isn't a timetable for making his final choice.
