It is amazing to me how much discussion and changes prior to starting camp.
Dudek will be a loss. While none of the classes he helped coordinate recruiting wise have really paid off yet he was an accessible, good PR person for the program.
All this discussion and projection about our record has convinced me that nobody really knows what is going to happen. With the amount of injuries and transition of coaches over the last couple of years it is impossible for me to really determine what the team is going to look and play like. I am hoping for the best, obviously.
From an outsider who follows the team as closely as I can I feel like it is struggling a bit. Since we don't know everything that is going on inside the program a certain amount of that is natural. However, it's seems that Rich has battened down the hatches and a program that allowed limited access is now providing no access. From a macro perspective that is a little worrisome but from a micro perspective it will hurt the program because they are not selling and generating "buzz" which, like in any company, will affect revenue.
If nothing else, this year promises to be interesting and like an onion. Lots of layers to be peeled back with plenty of chances for crying.
