No Khalil Tate and only three players are named finalists for the Heisman Trophy this year with Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, Louisville's Lamar Jackson and Stanford's Bryce Love being that trio. Tate was on pace to be a finalist in October but when the November slump hit things took a turn. If the Arizona QB can put up his October numbers, or even close to it, for an entire season he'll almost assuredly be in New York for the ceremony.
Winning the award will depend quite a bit on how good Arizona is next season, but if he plays at a Heisman finalist level that should take care of itself.
