It's been interesting the last couple weeks. Everyone from coaches and players continue to rave about the development of senior running back Gary Brightwell. A lot of his teammates have taken to social media to mention him and that is coming off what Kevin Sumlin recently had to say about him calling his performance in practice "excellent." I was only able to see him briefly during camp so it was difficult to judge what kind of steps forward he has taken, but his teammates are talking about him like he is going to be an all-conference type of player this year. I would normally just chalk that up to teammates supporting one another but this feels different and the coaches have talked in a similar light about him. It would be huge for the offense if he is that much of a difference maker this season. It'll be tested Saturday but if he's able to shine that would be a big deal.
