Arizona is still practicing after it was delayed by about an hour because of lightning in the area. The open media portion is over so I wanted to get you guys some quick notes before it gets too late. I'll pass along any other important info after practice if anything comes up.
* Arizona went with Zach Hemmila with the first unit today, and he looked pretty good with that first group during the open portion of practice. Hemmila worked at both guard and center during that time.
* One reason Hemmila worked at guard was because Cayman Bundage worked at center for a good amount of time with the first unit. When Arizona tried it before Bundage's snaps were all over the place but he looked much improved tonight.
* Nathan Eldridge had a chance to work with the second unit during the open portion and he has some promise there at the center spot too.
* Trey Griffey was still limited today (team's first day in pads) but he was running some with the first group. Arizona went with three receivers and a tight end for most of the time with the second unit.
* With it being the first day in pads thy of course means the no-contact red jerseys come out for the quarterbacks and it should be no surprise that it was Anu Solomon and Jerrard Randall who were wearing them today. The red jerseys go to the top two quarterbacks on the depth chart.
