Arizona opened August camp Wednesday and it was pretty standard when it comes to fall camp first days. Here are five quick notes from the Wildcats first day.

* It was probably the quietest first day under Roch Rodriguez. Keeping with the theme of spring Arizona's players looked locked in and there was not a ton of yelling from the coaching staff.

* Today was probably the best I've ever seen Anu Solomon throw the ball in a practice. He was really hitting on his deep passes and it was impressive to watch.

* Shun Brown ran a little bit with the second unit today and if first impressions mean anything he's going to have a good career with the 'Cats.

* Today was also probay the heal healthiest I've seen the Wildcats to start a camp under Rodriguez as well. No major contributors were injured.

* Demetrius Flannigan, who was at one point a grey shirt candidate, ran with the second unit and had an interception. Devon Brewer was with the third unit.

Check back later for more from the first day.
