Arizona has pulled the plug on its defensive coordinator and linebackers coaches after Saturday's loss to Stanford. Sumlin met with both coaches and informed them of the decision today. Right now the word is that Jeremy Springer is also set to meet with Sumlin so the moves with the staff might not be finished yet.
As of now Chuck Cecil is going to take over Yates' duties. I will have more updates to this story as it develops.
As pointed out by Michael Lev of the AZDS, analyst and former UA linebacker Hank Hobson will take over coaching the linebackers on a day-to-day basis. He has worked closely with the group since coming on board this year.
